1. Group Question 1 - Identity: How have your identities — both personal and in relation to the world — shaped your approach to your artistry, career endeavors, and navigation of the industry? Consider how your personal experiences, cultural background, and self-perception influence your creative process, professional choices, and interactions within the industry.

  2. As an artist deeply rooted in cultural activism, do you have fundamental beliefs or values that guide your career decisions? Do you feel a responsibility to use your platform to promote those beliefs? Additionally, can you share your thoughts on the idea of the dancefloor being a form of activism?

  3. Given your deep involvement and advocacy for underrepresented communities, particularly as a queer, Ecuadorian-Jewish artist with anti-Zionist views, what has been the most challenging aspect of your journey? How do you manage to maintain your own inner peace while advocating for others who are often deprived of it? Do you find this work more exhausting or inspiring?

  4. Group Question 2 - Growth: A growth spurt is usually referred to physiologically as a period of rapid growth that happens to the body. Can you think of any pivotal growth spurts in either your artistic careers or your personal journeys where you made a rapid change or had a rapid realization, maybe let go of something, in order to make room for something new, or make a prominent decision in your next steps — and what was that realization / emotion like? Were there any growing pains related to that experience?

  5. Group Question 3 - Transformation: As artists who wear many hats and maintain various identities, how do you handle the apprehension of presenting new versions of yourselves to the public? Could you share your experiences with fears of external judgment and how they have affected your growth and creative processes? What strategies have you used to navigate and overcome these fears? Additionally, in what ways have these identities transformed how you see yourself and how others perceive you?

  6. How has your close work and personal experience in various communities that are facing significant challenges (Latinx / Apocalipsis, Indigenous / Amazon Frontlines, LGBTQ, Palestinian), influenced your work as a death doula? How do these experiences shape your approach to supporting others in their most vulnerable moments (during times of death and transition), and what made you realize that you had the capacity to do this type of work?

  7. Can you share how your personal perspective on death influences your work and, more importantly, how this role has positively transformed your own life?

  8. Group Question 4 - Present Self & Future-Self: How has the evolution of your identities helped you connect more deeply with your truest self at this present moment? How do you envision your future evolution in your artistry or personal life? Are there new areas of yourself you’re excited to explore outside of your artistry?
